Fishing Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park – Americas First National Park – has some excellent fishing. About 50,000 of the park's 3 million annual visitors fish while visiting the park. Wonderful fishing can be found in the park's streams, rivers, and lakes. Park rivers of note include Gallatin, Madison, Lewis, Snake, Gardiner, Gibbon, Firehole, Slough Creek, and of course, the Yellowstone River. In addition to Yellowstone Lake, park lakes include Shoshone, Lewis, and Heart. Yellowstone Lake is the second largest lake in Montana, with 110 miles of shoreline.

You will find an abundance of Trout, including Cutthroat, Rainbow, Brown, Lake, and Brook – as well as Arctic Grayling and Mountain Whitefish. Be sure to check Park Fishing Regulations for guidelines and restrictions.
