Yellowstone Country has the nation's most extensive snowmobile trail system. Make the rounds and ride the legendary trails of the most popular snowmobile cities in the nation.

West Yellowstone:  Explore more than 400 miles of groomed snowmobile trails with the Gallatin and Targhee National Forests, where there's plenty of opportunity to do some incredible boondocking and powder riding. West Yellowstone's early snows mean, in most years , the season runs from Thanksgiving through March. more >>


BOZEMAN AND BIG SKY Unlimited snowmobiling, 200 miles of groomed trails as well as marked ungroomed trails in the Bozeman area. Try the ever-popular 120-mile Big Sky snowmobile Trail between Bozeman and West Yellowstone or the Buck Creek Ridge off US 191 south of Big Sky. Big play areas and spectacular scenery throughout the season from late November through April. more >>


Big Timber  Cruise the 25-mile Boulder Canyon Trail south of Big Timber. Snowmobile through bowls, meadows and Independence, an abandoned mining town. There's challenge in the upper seven miles. For a short and easy trip, try the seven-mile East Boulder-Dry Fork Trial. Season runs mid-December through mid April. more >>


Cooke City, Colter Pass and Silver Gate  The Cooke city area is the test site and promotional film location for Yamaha and Arctic Cat snowmobiles. This small community leads to 60 miles of groomed tails in the Gallatin Forest that connect with 60 miles of groomed trails in Wyoming to the "top of the World" in the Beartooths. Winter access to Cooke City through Mammoth entrance at Gardiner. the season run Thanksgiving through mid-May. more >>


Livingston and Gardiner  Access more than 84 miles of groomed snowmobile trails in the Gallatin National Forest. The Crazy Mountains offer the 20-mile Shields Loop, the 12-mile Cottonwood/Trespass Trail and the Ibex Cabin Trails. The Absaroka Mountains contains the Mill Creek areas, with 20 miles of groomed trails, Rock Creek South offers 14 miles of groomed trails, 60 miles of ungroomed, well-marked trails.
